Red blood cells

Oxygen is transported in the blood via the red blood cells. Every day, our body replaces about 1% of these cells. They are produced in the center of the bones, in the bone marrow. Their function for four months in the human body. It is noteworthy that their center is rich in iron, the molecule to which the oxygen attaches itself. That is one of the main roles iron plays in our bodies!
